To be honest I like this promotional vid for the Nokia Booklet 3G.
The product also looks like a handy little ‘booklet’ to have around and knowing Nokia technology will be as good if not better than anything else ‘netbook like’ out there also the fact it has mobile broadband built in means you are always 100% wireless wherever you are. Not to mention its severely awesome 12hr battery life and 10.1” HD screen served up in an aluminum shell and tips the scale at around the 1KG makes this a great little portable device…
So if it is so great why do I feel somewhat uncomfortable with the product?
Ever since my second mobile phone at the age of 16 in 1999, I have always been a great fan of Nokia as a brand and the product that it has produced and not forgetting a great admiration for their technological ingenuity and stand out creativity within the UK phone market. So why when I sit here now writing this on my MacBook, with its unibody aluminum shell sat next to my iPhone 3G, does the Nokia Booklet 3G feel uncomfortably familiar…
Love this song.
Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition. It is used on the Channel 4 festival coverage ad.
It has everything you want for standing in a field with a Brothers cider with the sun on your back and hands in the air…
Whatever they say…
When you hear this song…
Summer is not over.
Enjoy.
Brilliant fan video… Think I like it more than the official video… which is also pretty cool
Original Fake x Starks Laces
Not sure what happened here but I somewhat like these… Would be perfect with these Bape x Kaws kicks from 06…
Can be bought here…
Carnival x Kinfolk Fixed Gear Bike
Two amazing Japanese bike manufacturers combine to bring this to my eyes. Carnival Tokyo provided the components while Kinfolk brought the frame to the party and it was all lovingly put together by Kusaka. Just look at those amazing details… what a sight for sore eyes.
ART & COPY is a powerful new film about advertising and inspiration. Directed by Doug Pray (SURFWISE, SCRATCH, HYPE!), it reveals the work and wisdom of some of the most influential advertising creatives of our time — people who’ve profoundly impacted our culture, yet are virtually unknown outside their industry. Exploding forth from advertising’s “creative revolution” of the 1960s, these artists and writers all brought a surprisingly rebellious spirit to their work in a business more often associated with mediocrity or manipulation: George Lois, Mary Wells, Dan Wieden, Lee Clow, Hal Riney and others featured in ART & COPY were responsible for “Just Do It,” “I Love NY,” “Where’s the Beef?,” “Got Milk,” “Think Different,” and brilliant campaigns for everything from cars to presidents. They managed to grab the attention of millions and truly move them. Visually interwoven with their stories, TV satellites are launched, billboards are erected, and the social and cultural impact of their ads are brought to light in this dynamic exploration of art, commerce, and human emotion.
Further information on the film and special screening schedules can be found here.
This is exactly the sound I thought I would hear if these three got together…
Not blogging this for the tune (although it is catchy with Jigga and Kanye in) but the video..
